Accessibility and Mathematics - Kansas State University Events

Making accessible mathematics content can be a challenge, especially when our standards tools and workflows can create significant barriers for those using assistive technologies. We’ll cover practical tools and strategies for improving the accessibility of mathematical content.

In this session you’ll learn:

  • How screen readers read equations
  • How to write alternative text for math graphs and plots
  • How to create accessible data tables in documents
  • How to enter math content accessibly in Canvas

We’re also excited to introduce Equatio, a mathematical digital application that enables users to create, edit, and share mathematical expressions, formulas, and equations and is available for K-State faculty to use.
