Dr. Jared Hutchins, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will present, "Do Livestock Producers Breed Using Selection Indices? Evidence from US Dairy Bull Prices," during the Agricultural Economics Seminar Series. 

Jared Hutchins is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on production economics, genetic technology in agriculture, and institutions in the agricultural sector. He has specific expertise in the economics of the livestock sector and how innovations in genetics are adopted by producers and contribute to productivity growth.
