About this Event
Dr. Tomas Nilsson, Olds College of Agriculture and Technology, will present, “Adoption of Agriculture Technologies in Canada” during the Agricultural Economics Seminar Series.
Nilsson is a Faculty Member at the Olds College of Agriculture and Technology. Dr. Nilsson develops programs and courses in agriculture technology and teaches in areas of business, decision making and marketing. He writes about technology, decision making and research. As the Chair of the Bachelor of Digital Agriculture program, he oversees the implementation of a new four-year degree. Before joining the college in August 2020, Dr. Nilsson spent more than 17 years in the public and private sectors, including the University of Alberta, the Government of Alberta and Edmonton Global. Dr. Nilsson holds a master's degree in Agriculture from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (MSc Agronom, 2001) and a doctorate in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University (Ph.D., 2005). Dr. Nilsson also has a Certified Analytics Professional certification from INFORMS (CAP, 2020).
