Alumni Fellows Lecture with Summer Lewis '05: More Than I Imagined: Navigating a Global Career through Connection

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 11:30am to 12:20pm

Join the Alumni Fellows Program, the Department of Modern Languages, and the College of Arts and Sciences for a lecture with Summer Lewis '05 entitled More Than I Imagined: Navigating a Global Career through Connection.

How does a K-State degree lead to a global career without a master plan - or even a 5-year plan? Join Alumni Fellow Summer Lewis (BA Modern Languages-Spanish, Sociology, and Women's Studies 2005) for a conversation on the value of relationships and networks in international work.

Summer will share how studying Spanish and traveling to Spain and Guatemala as a K-State student created a "web" of connections that only became clear in hindsight. This is a dialogue on the power of human networks, the reality of following a web of opportunity, and the professional paths that open when you lead with relationship and imagination.
