Abstract: In this talk, we will explain what modern square dancing is and explore some of the fascinating underlying mathematical structuresin this wonderful dance form.

About the Speakers: Karin Rabe  and Greg Moore  are theoretical physicists who after many years at Yale University are currently on the faculty of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. In addition to their passion for science and mathematics they share a passion for modern western square dancing, both as dancers and callers. Working as a husband-wife team, they call dances in person for the New Jersey square dance clubs and on Zoom for dancers from across the world.
