Please join us for a demonstration and discussion of VoiceThread, a presentation and storytelling tool that integrates with Canvas. The VoiceThread platform transforms PowerPoint slides, videos, images, voice, text, and drawings into interactive collaborations. With VoiceThread, instructors create and share dynamic media content within Canvas assignments and discussions. 
 
The Spanish Studies program, in the department of Modern Languages, had already paid for a 1-year pilot license agreement to test VoiceThread in their online courses. They conducted a quick survey in the SPAN 300 class to see how students were getting along in the course and students have been really receptive. Instructors report that at previous institutions, VoiceThread has been a huge success for creating innovative and engaging online courses.

Faculty are invited to participate in the VoiceThread pilot program during Spring 2024 to determine if there is sufficient demand for this product to justify its investment cost. This pilot version of the Active User License is available through Spring 2024. It includes full Canvas integration for an unlimited number of accounts and the Platinum service with unlimited auto captioning and Zoom integration for an accessible, multi-modal option.
