About this Event
In this College of Arts & Sciences Diversity Lecture, which is co-sponsored by the department of Physics, Dr. Rebecca Lindell of Tiliadal STEM Education will discuss how she was diagnosed with MS at the age of 21, in the final year of her undergraduate career as she pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in physics. Through candid anecdotes and reflections, she will explain how her life evolved over the last 30 years from feeling shame to embracing acceptance and agency. By drawing insights from her journey, she hopes to offer valuable perspectives for individuals grappling with similar challenges, emphasizing the power of self-acceptance and personal advocacy to drive positive change.
Refreshments will be served at 4 pm in CW 119 prior to the lecture.
