About this Event
There exists a remarkable analogy between codes, lattices and vertex operator algebras. One can use these objects to construct block, spherical and conformal designs, respectively. Whereas the first two structures have been well studied in combinatorics, the notion of conformal design was introduced by myself in 2008.
In the three talks, I will present an overview of what is known for each of the three structures. The talks will be essentially independent. This second talk should be accessible to all graduate students.
