About this Event
The Community Safety Talks series aims to promote a safe environment for everyone. With the holidays right around the corner, food safety becomes ever more important. This session will inform participants with key food handling practices to avoid cross-contamination and time-temperature abuse. The session also covers required cooking temperatures, safe cooling and reheating basics, and best practices for labeling, storing and organizing food to keep products safe.
This event is open to anyone, including students, staff and faculty at K-State and members of the surrounding community. Professional development credit will be offered to all faculty and staff who attend the event.
