M-Seminar: Symmetric quivers for 2d, 3d and 4d theories and topological strings (Lec 2) - Kansas State University Events

Speaker:  Piotr Sulkowski   (University of Warsaw)

Abstract: I will present how invariants of symmetric quivers capture various observables of physical theories in 2, 3 and 4 dimensions, as well as of topological string theory. The observables in question include or are immediately related to knot invariants, (wild) BPS degeneracies of 4d N=2 theories, superconformal indices, wall-crossing identities, 2d CFT or VOA characters, LMOV invariants, etc. Such a unifying role of symmetric quivers is very useful and intriguing and calls for deeper understanding.
