Data Carpentry Genomics Workshop - Kansas State University Events

Join K-State Libraries and the Carpentries Collective on Aug. 11-14 for a Data Carpentry Genomics Workshop. This free, in-person workshop will be held in the Friends Instruction Room in Hale Library (359 Hale) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with a break for lunch.

Carpentries workshops develop fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. The target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills to their own research.

This four-day workshop teaches incoming life sciences graduate students in bioinformatics (and others) how to utilize the command line and the high-performance computing cluster, Beocat, to successfully run a bioinformatics analysis.

Spots for this workshop are limited. Please register online to attend.
