This virtual session will demystify updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its impact on digital spaces. You’ll leave with the basics of how to create accessible digital experiences. No legal jargon overload here - just practical insights and a roadmap to compliance. We'll touch on the history of the ADA, Section 508, and how it impacts the digital content we all create in 7 key areas:

  • Color in Design
  • Links and navigation
  • Heading Structure
  • Alternative Text on Images
  • Tables
  • Formatting Lists
  • Audio and Video Content

Who Should Attend:

  • Faculty who create online course content in Canvas and elsewhere.
  • Staff who create content for emails, social media, etc.
  • Anyone interested in learning more about digital accessibility!

Your Host:
