Join us for a hands-on Digital Accessibility Workshop tailored just for faculty! While all faculty are invited, we are especially excited to welcome new faculty to this event! Even if you haven't added content to your Canvas courses yet, you'll be able to get a head start on the semester and accessibility.

Whether you're new to accessibility or already familiar with the basics, this 3-hour workshop will help you take real steps toward creating a more inclusive online course experience. This workshop is for the digital content used in both online and in-person classes. We suggest bringing your own laptop.

What to Expect:

  • Learn the why and how of digital accessibility: Understand the importance of accessibility and how to implement it effectively.
  • Get expert help reviewing and improving your course content: Receive personalized guidance from accessibility experts.
  • Leave with a mostly remediated course and be ready to meet accessibility standards: Ensure your course materials are compliant with accessibility guidelines.
  • Walk away with practical tips, tools, and confidence: Gain actionable strategies and resources to continue improving accessibility in your courses.

This is not just a presentation — it's time set aside to work on your course with support right there when you need it.

Additional Benefits:

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow faculty members who are also working towards creating accessible courses.
  • Resource Materials: Access to templates, checklists, and other resources to aid in your accessibility efforts.
  • Follow-Up Support: Information on how to access ongoing support and resources after the workshop.
