Dining with Diabetes Online

The primary portion of this online course* will run from November 8-December 13, and enrollment cost is $25.  (The final module, "Dining Out with Diabetes", will be available March 21-28.  This extra time allows participants to work on small goals and begin to incorporate healthy lifestyle changes into their daily routine, as well as have an opportunity to check in with the instructor and have questions answered.)

The Dining with Diabetes Online course is provided by Kansas State University Research and Extension educators and certified Dining with Diabetes course instructors, and is designed for adults with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and for their family members, caregivers, and support persons.  This course helps individuals learn strategies to manage their diabetes through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, and label reading.  

*This course is not intended to provide individual prescriptions for diabetic meal planning and it is not intended to replace diabetes education furnished by qualified health care professionals.
