Newly appointed K-State faculty cellist Syneva Colle, along with guest pianist Alfonso Hernández, invites you on a musical journey across the southern border! Experience the works of gifted and yet underrepresented composers from Mexico, both past and present. This colorful program draws on the romantic melodies of Manuel Ponce, the jazz-inspired rhythmic energy of Samuel Zyman, unusual soundscapes conjured by Mario Lavista, and the fiery dance music of Arturo Márquez.
