EXCITE Shadow Day
EXCITE Shadow Days seek to increase girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Open to all high school students (grades 9-12), these events are hosted by the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering (KAWSE).
High school students select up to 3 STEM majors that they are interested in, and are paired with a current K-State undergrad with similar interests. Together, they go about her normal day on campus: attending classes, eating lunch, and touring campus. It's a unique chance to experience a "day in the life" of a college student. Registration includes a meal card, drawstring bag and a pencil.
To register, visit the KAWSE website (www.k-state.edu/kawse/excite) to download forms.
