EXCITE Shadow Day

EXCITE Shadow Days are hosted by the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering (KAWSE). The mission of EXCITE Shadow Days is to encourage girls' continued interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. All high school students (grades 9-12) are welcome to participate.

Upon registering, high school students indicate their top 3 majors of interest and are paired with a K-State undergraduate in one of those majors. Together, they go about their normal day on campus: attending classes, eating lunch, touring campus, and discussing what it's like to be a STEM major at K-State. It's a unique chance to experience a "day in the life" of a college student. Lunch at the K-State Student Union, a drawstring bag, and a pencil are included in the registration fee.

Online registration is available here. Registration closes two weeks prior to the selected event date.

More information regarding these events is available on the EXCITE Shadow Days webpage.
