The Center for Academic Innovation is excited to offer faculty two virtual training options and an additional one-stop drop-in experience to explore resources that elevate teaching. Meet with teaching and learning experts, instructional designers, video specialists, Canvas administrators, accessibility experts and more to discover tools that create engaging and effective learning environments.
Prior to our in-person drop-in session, join us virtually for a rundown of Digital Accessibility Basics. This synchronous session will be offered twice to best meet the needs of your teaching schedule. We’ll be covering the use of tables, color, lists, heading styles, and more as you create teaching materials on Canvas and other platforms. While attending a virtual session is optional, it will better prepare you for the in-person drop-in.
The drop-in event is your chance to ask questions, receive personalized support, and connect with instructional designers and partners from the TLC, the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab, Mediasite, Canvas, the Center for Academic Innovation, and the Student Access Center.
Feel free to bring your laptop, syllabus, or other materials. While waiting for your turn to meet with an expert, we encourage you to explore the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab and discover cutting-edge resources.
If you have a specific topic in mind, please RSVP and let us know. Walk-ins are also welcome!
