Furniture Amnesty Day is an annual event that allows all local residents to donate furniture they no longer need, and/or select from the donated furniture for free.

Volunteer
This event helps find new homes for hundreds of pieces of furniture. Volunteers are needed to help with several aspects of the event. Sign up to volunteer with HandsOn Kansas State at this link.

Donate Furniture
Request up to five pieces of furniture to be picked up from your residence. The deadline to signup for donated furniture pickups is 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 30.  

Please note: All furniture items need to be placed outside, in front of your residence, by 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, for volunteers to pick up. Volunteers will not pick up any furniture that is inside your home!

Donated furniture may also be brought to City Park by donors on Friday, beginning at 8 a.m.

Shop - Sign Up to Pick Out New-to-You Furniture
Signup will begin at 8 a.m. at City Park on the day of the event. You will be able to choose a time slot between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick out your furniture. No additional paperwork is needed!

Assignments to pick furniture will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Any furniture left after 4 p.m. is open to the general public. Please note: Volunteers can help to load furniture into vehicles, but participants will need to arrange their own method of transport.

•     Lamps
•     Mattresses
•     Pianos
•     Refrigerators
•     Televisions or monitors
•     Washers or dryers
