Kansas State University is redefining its geospatial landscape with Geocat, a next-generation ArcGIS Enterprise platform powered by Amazon Web Services. Purpose-built to move beyond the constraints of traditional on-premises systems, Geocat offers a secure, scalable, and cloud-native environment for storing and analyzing spatial and aspatial data. It enables advanced geospatial workflows, real-time analytics, and seamless integration with high-performance computing (HPC) resources. Dr. Shawn Hutchinson will present Geocat’s vision, architecture, phased deployment, and capabilities while highlighting its role as part of K-State’s evolving cyberinfrastructure for advancing the university’s next-generation land-grant mission in research, teaching, and outreach.
