Hazardous Waste Awareness (WTD080)
Required training for all employees that generate (create) or have responsibility for hazardous waste. The course is recommended for anyone that handles chemicals and materials that can become regulated hazardous waste. Attendees will learn to identify, label and properly dispose of hazardous chemical and medical/biological waste. The course also covers how to properly manage other waste materials such as ethidium bromide, PCB, latex paint, used oil and more.
This one-hour session is required annually for all university employees including faculty, researchers, students, graduate research assistants and graduate teaching assistants who generate, handle or have responsibility for hazardous waste.
There is no charge to participants for this training opportunity; however, registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials.
