POSTPONED - K-State Libraries Lecture Series - Kansas State University Events

Due to inclement weather, the 2025 lecture has been postponed. Please check back soon for the new date and time.

Guest speaker Dr. Wayne Goins will present "Begin With the End in Mind: Creating a Legacy You Can Live With." Dr. Goins will highlight ways in which K-State faculty aim to leave a meaningful and impactful career for university students, faculty, administration and the Manhattan community.

Dr. Wayne Goins is a University Distinguished Professor and Director of Jazz Studies in the School of Music, Theater and Dance at Kansas State University, where he conducts big bands and teaches combos, private guitar lessons, jazz theory and jazz improvisation courses. Goins owns Little Apple Records, on which he has published six albums under his own name (West Coast Swing; Standard Fare; Bluesin’ With the B3; Smokin’ at the Oak Bar; Home Cookin’; and Chronicles of Carmela).

The Libraries Lecture Series seeks to engage the campus and Manhattan community with the Libraries through discussions on topics relevant to learning and research. Each event features a campus or community leader and offers the opportunity for attendees to ask questions and engage with others.
