Kids K-State Garden Club 2023
The K-State Gardens invite kids (grades 1-3) to an introduction to gardening. Five 50 minute Saturday sessions from 10:00-10:50 a.m. in the Gardens Visitor Center are planned to spark interest, present gardening basics, and have fun with hands-on activities. Sessions topics are:
1) March 25 - What Do Kids and Plants Both Need? & Planting session
2) April 15 - How Plants Grow and All About soil
3) April 22 - Pollinators: Flit Like a Butterfly - Buzz Like a Bee
4) May 6 - Climates Around the World and Make a Terrarium
5) May 13 - Plant Life Cycle and Review with Garden Tour
Sessions are limited to 20 kids each. Younger children should be accompanied. Sessions are free but donations are very welcome. Registration is necessary. Call 785-532-3271 or email ksugardens@k-state.edu for questions or registration.
