Speaker: Evgeny Gorsky (UC Davis)

Abstract: In the talk I will define braid varieties, a class of affine algebraic varieties associated to positive braids, and explain their relation to Richardson and positroid varieties, HOMFLY polynomial and Khovanov-Rozansky homology. I will also develop a Soergel-like diagrammatic calculus for correspondences between the braid varieties.  This is a joint work with Roger Casals, Mikhail Gorsky and Jose Simental Rodriguez.
