Kevin Lau’s sparkling new work “Under a Veil of Stars” receives its United States premiere, performed by members of the K-State string faculty. Madeleine Jansen (violin) and Syneva Colle (cello) will be joined by guest artist Alfonso Hernández for an evening of joyful and colorful piano trio music by Lau, Mendelssohn, and long-forgotten Parisian composer Mel Bonis. Admission is free. In cooperation with the Music for Food initiative, 100% of donations will benefit the Flint Hills Breadbasket.
