About this Event
“Outside/Inside: Immigration, Migration and Healthcare in the United States,” a traveling exhibit produced by the National Library of Medicine.
The exhibit traces the history of ideas concerning immigrant and migrant health, along with their experiences with U.S. healthcare since the late 1800s. Healthcare and medicine greatly impacted immigrant communities regarding their ability to include or exclude certain persons or groups. The images in the exhibit portray a history that reminds the viewer that protecting health and well-being is an important cornerstone of any community.
The National Library of Medicine produced this exhibition and companion website. If you have any questions about the exhibit, please contact exhibit coordinator Cindy Logan (clogan@ksu.edu).
