Personal Statement Workshop
Get help with your personal statement for law school applications at our Personal Statement Workshop Thursday, October 14 at 6:00pm in Leadership Studies 123. Jim Hohenbary, director of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, will guide you through exercises to help you make the most of your two pages by developing your ideas and cultivating your story. Jim will specifically address how to talk about your Covid experience.
No preparation is required to attend this workshop. You are welcome to bring a draft of your personal statement (no matter how rough). If you don’t have a draft, bring a list of your experiences or anecdotes about how your legal goals have evolved. The goal of this session is to provide you the tools to improve or complete your draft.
For all attendees, we will be having a raffle for a copy of 1L of a Ride, a perennial favorite book for students preparing for law school! Raffle tickets will be handed out at the sign-in table, and the winner will be announced during the presentation.
