Thanksgiving PHOTO SHOOT w/ fall Fruits/Veggies - WED Nov 9th!

It is that time of year for seasonal fruits and vegetables to be front and center for Thanksgiving!!! And what a great time to practice taking pictures of food! Join the Picture Perfect youth leaders and bring your phone or cameras. We will have seasonal favorites as well as several unique fruits and veggies to identify. That's right - a little horticulture mixed in!

You can't miss this class from 6:30-7:30 pm in the upper meeting room at Shawnee County Extension Office (EMR). We WELCOME all curious 4-Hers, especially from Photography, Horticulture and Home Environment! You just need a current phone or camera to take pictures.

What will we do/learn:

• Take really cool shots of food. You can design a plate of items - including simple principles of design that can help you in home environment and photography
• Experiment with under lighting of transparent vegetables such as lemons and limes
• Play with taking gooey shots of the insides of fruits and veggies
• Explore the importance of light and shadows - back light, front light, side lighting
• Practice developing effective pictures that include depth of field
• Identify the fruit/veggie and seeds (learning some horticulture skills) of these special holiday foods favorites

AND, then at the end, we will take time to taste these wonderful foods!
