The MINIstock Grand Challenge team is comprised of an innovative group of scientists focused on advancing insect use and answering the industry’s most pressing questions. Within insect production, the team works to develop innovative solutions to insect nutrition and diet optimization while determining the suitability of various waste streams for insect production. Animal scientists work directly with entomologists and industry to determine the optimal insect inclusion level in animal diets to boost health and productivity. Meanwhile, soil scientists and agronomists are working to demonstrate the many benefits of including frass as a soil amendment to American farmers. Dr. Robinson’s presentation will provide an overview of all of this work along with a look at exciting future work by the group, including the ability of insects to aid in the protection of livestock health by remediating New World Screwworm Waste.
