About this Event
1712 Claflin Rd Manhattan KS 66506-5500
Just as pathogens evolve over time, so too does the Extension and research methods for investigating, analyzing, and providing those results to our stakeholders. This seminar will provide the past, present, and future look at the Field Crops Pathology program at University of Tennessee providing examples of how things have changed: using applied molecular tools, faster analytical software, and new, real-time outlets (i.e. social media) to disseminate and acquire information. These developments will be discussed as well as how they fit into and continue to advance the model and mission of the Land Grant University System (research, teaching, and Extension): transferring practical agriculture, science, and engineering knowledge to all.
