Soil blocking is a method of starting flower or vegetable seeds in individual soil blocks. Seeds grown with this method tend to be more vigorous and more resilient during transplanting. The increased oxygen between blocks “ air prunes” the roots, which prevents them from becoming root-bound and reduces the risk of transplant shock. A demonstration will be given.

Pre-registration for this class is not required. There is a $10 class fee payable at the door.
