The State 4-H Horticulture Judging Contest will be held on Saturday, August 16, in Manhattan, KS. The contest is hosted for the day by the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources.
• Intermediates must be 9-13 years old before January 1 of the current year.
• Seniors must be 14-18 before January 1 of the current year.
The objective of 4-H Horticulture Judging is for members to grow in their ability to think, to reason, and to make logical and scientific judgments, through plant identification, knowledge testing and judging classes. Registration information will be sent to local offices in late June, 2025. Anybody from the age of 9-18 is eligible to compete in this contest.
