DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Carson Connard\n\nAbstract: I will first talk about an
adaptation of Morse homology for orbifolds\; second\, the construction of
Chen-Ruan cohomology and its product structure\; third\, I will discuss som
e conjectures about how the method of cup product deformation furnished by
Gromov-Witten invariants could be applied to an object analogous to the Lag
rangian in the orbifold world. In particular\, I will discuss how a deforme
d product for the cohomology of the novel dihedral twisted sector of Chen\,
Ono\, and Wang (2023) could be motivated by the construction of the Chen-R
uan product via Gromov-Witten theory.
