Abstract:  I will review in detail the approach of Leinster to constructing weak  -categories, beginning with the construction of strict  -categories as globular sets with additional structure.  If time allows, I will begin considering the question of the appropriate notion of functor in this context. 

The goal of the series of talks is to reach the description of 1-lax weak  -functors given in ongoing join work with tslil clingman.
