Transforming Agriculture with MATLAB & Simulink - Kansas State University Events

The Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics is partnering with MathWorks, John Deere and K-State's FarmsLab to offer the complimentary in-person seminar “Transforming Agriculture with MATLAB & Simulink,” for faculty, researchers, students and staff. Space is limited, so please register in advance.

Attendees will gain insights into the latest methods for vehicle dynamics modeling, photorealistic simulation, sensor fusion, deep learning for perception, algorithm verification and deployment, all aimed at advancing safety and productivity in agricultural operations. Featuring expertise from industry and academia, this seminar highlights collaborative innovations shaping the path toward the future of agriculture.

The seminar will include:

  • “Leveraging Simulation to Develop High-Tech Products,” a keynote from Anthony Johnson, DSM engineer at John Deere

  • “Shaping a Path to Offroad Autonomy Using MATLAB,” a technical talk from Ronal George, senior application engineer at MathWorks

  • “Design and Development of a Skid-Steer Robotic Platform for Autonomous Agricultural Applications,” a technical talk from Sudan Baral, graduate research assistant in the FarmsLab
