Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research will provide an information session on the prestigious Udall Scholarship on November 6, from 4-5pm. Please read about the scholarship below as well as the requirements for eligibility. If you are a fit or are not certain if you are a good fit, please come to the session to hear more.
The Udall Scholarship, established by the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation, honors the legacies of the Udall brothers, who significantly impacted environmental stewardship and Native American rights. Each year, the foundation awards approximately 55 scholarships of up to $7,000 to sophomore and junior college students across the United States.
To be eligible for the Udall Scholarship, applicants must:
Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident.
Be a sophomore or junior at an accredited college or university.
Demonstrate a commitment to a career in one of the following areas:
Environmental issues (e.g., policy, science, conservation).
Tribal public policy (only Native American and Alaska Native students are eligible).
