Planning Your Career

This talk will help students discover a career plan that works. The key to successful job placement is to have experiences each year that help you make better and more informed career decisions. We will outline steps to take each semester relating to internships, course planning, career fairs, and more to develop and achieve a desired career goal. We will show how the undergraduate lectures and the career information on the math department home page will reveal the many career paths K-State math graduates have taken. We will describe how to use career portfolios to track progress and will give insight into job placement in today's competitive and rapidly changing world.
