Christmas may be months away, but it's never too early to start creating handmade holiday decorations and gifts! Join instructor Marsha Howe on Sunday, August 8, at the Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center for festive creativity. The workshop runs 1:00-5:00pm.

The afternoon workshop is designed for ages 15 and older. Participants will learn to transform recycled popcorn tins into beautiful handcrafted decorations. Choose to create classic tin stars, charming angels, or unique tree toppers that can become treasured holiday keepsakes or thoughtful handmade gifts.

The workshop fee is $25, and all skill levels are welcome. Basic supplies will be provided; however, supplies are limited. Participants are encouraged to bring Wiss aviation snips, small needle-nose pliers, and clean popcorn tins to use during the workshop.

Whether you're looking to make something special for your own home or create meaningful gifts for family and friends, this workshop is a fun way to begin the holiday season a little early.
