Virtual Training: Irrigating Lawns and Urban Water Conservation - Kansas State University Events

In the final day of this five-day training event, presenters will focus on urban irrigation and water conservation. They will discuss the critical components necessary to achieve the goals of irrigation efficiency and uniformity; speakers will also share an overview of current water conservation efforts in the City of Hays, including landscape irrigation and "Water Smart" landscaping systems.

This workshop series will provide overviews on a variety of key issues related to managing water resources using irrigation and other technologies. Using an online format, experts will provide a live, 30-40 minute presentation followed by a discussion forum. Participants will be able to ask questions and follow up with both presenters and panelists. At the end of the training, participants will be able to access a digital package that includes the slides, extension publications, and other materials relevant to each topic.

These series are offered as Professional Development Event by the Natural Resources PFT and the Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment (KCARE).
