K-State has a presence at the Kansas State Fair every day – but on this special Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, wear your purple extra proudly and join us for some added K-State experiences.
Explore K-State at the three State Fair locations listed below (view map), and follow the university on social media throughout the day to learn more about K-State — and to find out where to snag an exclusive Wildcat Wednesday giveaway!
House of Capper
We’ll have a K-State table in the House of Capper between 9 a.m.-7 p.m.: Learn more about admission to K-State, our remarkable All Things Kansas interactive resource, how the university engages across Kansas and more!
In the same location, we’ll have some added activities between 11 a.m.-5 p.m.:
Participate in a sensory science activity with faculty from K-State’s College of Health and Human Sciences to test how well you can identify familiar scents!
Discover the future of flight with K-State Salina’s UAS program! Talk with faculty and students, see an uncrewed aircraft up close, and find out how hands-on learning and partnerships are shaping innovation in aviation.
Get up close with the K-State’s Powercat Motorsports Formula race car and the K-State students who built it from the ground up!
Just west of the House of Capper in the Administration Parking Lot, you can engage with the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab’s mobile unit, inspiring exploration, problem-solving and creativity right there at the Kansas State Fair!
Pride of Kansas Building
Need a break from the heat? Visit our K-State Extension booth in the Pride of Kansas building for fun giveaways and a chance to learn about K-State resources and educational programs offered in your community. With a presence in every Kansas county, K-State Extension offers expertise in areas like agriculture, gardening, landscaping, youth development, entrepreneurship, health and well-being, and more. Chat with one of our professionals to learn more about extension programming in your county.
Birthing Center
Engage with K-State’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where veterinarians and fourth-year vet students will be helping with animals in the birthing center. Visitors can also learn more about veterinary medicine by exploring large models of both a cow and a horse.
Families can also stop by the Kid’s Corner for coloring, games and activities with students, faculty and FFA volunteers.
